I am not a huge fan of 9 Chickweed Lane. It seems like nothing ever happens and when something does, it takes forever for it to come to fruition. Plus, there are days when there is literally nothing happening in the strip or you have to infer what's happening. Like today.
Although I have to admit the last two images of the hands is kind of sexy. I still think it's a waste of space though and tomorrow we'll probably just get an image of them laying in bed, smiling.
Are those Beetle's parents? They look like a nice couple. How did they ever sire a lazy layabout like Beetle. Also, why did they name him Beetle?
I know that the last panel is used as kind of a joke (get it?) but a lot of times you do need permission to put stuff in a cemetery like plants and benches. I'll be interested to see how this confrontation winds up.
What's up with the black apple? I mean, what moronic colorist would color an apple any other color than red or maybe green? Also the black and purple ensemble Ms. Grub is wearing along with the apple make her look evil.
