If you want something watchable and intelligent then network TV is not your bag. The smart shows are on streaming or cable channels and even shows on streaming are becoming iffy.

And having a smart show that forces you to pay attention doesn't guarantee viewers. I'm sure we can all think of a good, intelligent show that only lasted a season or two.
