To enumerate means to either list things one-by-one or to establish the number of. Wilberforce did the latter so he's technically not wrong. Why is a teacher using fancy five dollars like "enumerate" when she's just now teaching her kids about the continents anyway?
When I was a kid, I had this electronic geography game that used "Oceania" for the continent of Australia. Because of this game, I went a couple of years calling it Oceania. It wasn't until later that I learned that Oceania is actually a region and that it comprises of most of the southern Pacific Ocean while Australia, the continent, refers to Australia, New Zealand, New Guinea, and a few nearby islands. In fact, while looking stuff up for this, I discovered that New Zealand is now a part of its own continent called Zealandia and not a part of Australia anymore? This is too much for me.
That game also pronounced "five" wrong.
