For the Gworls - helps Black trans people with rent, gender-affirming surgeries, medical expenses, travel.
Queer Food Foundation - provides monetary funds to Black queer and trans people to help combat food insecurities
The Trevor Project - provides counseling and crisis support services to LGBTQ+ teens
Services & Advocacy for GLBT Elders (SAGE) - advocates for elder members of the LGBTQ+ community by educating policymakers and creating long-term care options
I'm not really sure what age Wilberforce is supposed to be in these strips. He's about nine in current strips and I feel he's supposed to be six or seven here. Maybe younger. My point being is that why is Wilberforce learning counting in school? We hear all this talk about public schools failing our children but it sounds like the call is coming from inside the house.
Transgender Law Center - a transgender-led law organization that works to change policies and re-shape the narrative surrounding trans rights
Black & Pink - a prison abolition group that helps LGBTQ+ and/or HIV positive who have current or prior experience with prisons. They also offer programs to help people reenter the community after their time in prison and with rent assistance.
