I got nothing bad or sarcastic to say about today's strip because it is hilarious. If I held a contest every year for funniest strip, this one would win, hands down.
But I do want to know why it's starting to rain in the first panel. Or did Chip draw a ruler up there?

Those are the Oncoming Daggers of Despair. It's a visual storytelling device which started in ancient Greece and evolved to the form you see it today in England's Penny Dreadfuls at the turn of the nineteenth century.
