Did Brutus really need that sip of coffee in order to crack this joke?
I don't know why Gladys is yammering about Mardi Gras. The Thornapples are neither Catholic--thus do not participate in Lent--nor do they go out and party so Mardi Gras is a completely pointless time for them.
