Another Spears?!?

Maybe you've heard the rumor, maybe you haven't but it's probably no surprise to anyone.

The National Enquirer reported last week that Jamie Lynn Spears may be pregnant again, only three months after giving birth to daughter Maddie.
-Contra Costa Times 10/12/08

My theory is that if the pregnancy rumors are true, her family made her get pregnant again. They know that when Nickelodeon's Zoey 101 ends, Jamie Lynn will no longer be bankable and Britney doesn't seem to be moving anywhere. (Two episodes of How I Met Your Mother does not a career remake.)

The Spears' need money somehow and selling baby pictures is the way to go lately. I don't know why people would pay that much money for pictures of Hollywood's bastard children but they do.

And I am aware that Suri Cruise is not a bastard but I still don't believe Suri is from both Tom and Katie.

How Rich Is He?

Not much going on in the comics today. Apparently all the cartoonists just phoned it in on this Columbus Day.

I don't really know what makes it any different than any other day.

Love the look on Jonah's face. I've had that look on my face many a time when I realize the girl was just with me for the free dinner and movie.

Hahaha!! Oh, Crankshaft. You horrible husband, you. Instead of hiring some young whippersnapper, you get your 80-year-old wife to do it. Ah, I can't wait to be an old coot.

Rich people don't waste their money on stupid things like wishing wells or charity.

Peanuts 10/6/08-10/12/08

Every Sunday for the next six weeks I will be posting a week's worth of Charles Schulz's Peanuts and explaining how the comic affected my life. I hoping it'll be popular enough to be a regular feature or a spin-off blog. Let me know if you like it and share your thoughts on the strips posted here.

And now, onto the feature:

When I was young, Kindergarten age thereabouts, I actually tried this. Scared the bejeezus out of the neighborhood kids but convinced them it worked because I said I read it in a book. They didn't have to know it was a Peanuts book.

I actually did the stomping closer to the mouth because I thought that there would be a chance the germs could jump or get blown away before I could thoroughly stomp on them. I never stepped on anyone though although some kids said I was too close.

I even did the germ-stomping to kids I didn't like or who didn't like me. I so wanted to step on them but I feared malpractice lawsuits because I wasn't a licensed doctor and my form of treatment hadn't been approved yet. I did stomp closer to their face and tried to spray dust and gravel on them.

I had to quit my practice when, by the end of the day, my foot hurt like hell. My shoes held up fine but my foot hurt like the dickens.

I got a majority of my imagination from what I read in books and comic strips and later comic books. Of course I was never as imaginative as Snoopy or got as into it as him.

Also copying Lucy however, I did try to start my own psychiatry booth but more on that when we see hers.

Indium Halides

Other articles that came up:
Honey, Births: A Salt Troupe
ERAP
BFH

There are three sets of indium halides, the trihalides, the monohalides and a surprising number of intermediate halides. In all of the trihalides the oxidation state of indium is +3 and their proper names are indium(III) fluoride, indium(III) chloride, indium(III) bromide and indium(III) iodide.
In the monohalides the oxidation state of indium is +1 and their proper names are indium(I) fluoride, indium(I) chloride, indium(I) bromide and indium(I) iodide.
The intermediate halides contain indium with oxidation states, +1, +2 and +3.

Finicky Kids Invade Comics

Wilberforce looks a bit chunky in these panels. In his defense, it does look like they are having "brown stuff in gravy" but from the crap lunches kids get at school these days, he should be starving.

He's obviously not into his food as much as the kids from Grand Avenue are.

No matter how disgusting the animals are or how the animals are processed at the slaughterhouse. I love meat. I love meat in all it's incarnations. Diets should include more meat. More I say!!

Glady's Wandering Eye

Yes, the massive hand of Uncle Sam is asking for more money. But of course when a 17 foot Uncle Sam demands money you better give it.

As for the taxpayer's bailout? November 4th, effective January 20th.

Also, check out Mallard Fillmore everyday at Duck and Cover and see what Mallard's raving about.

Something about this strip looks familiar. Is it the joke? No. It's something about the characters. Hold on just a minute...

OH SWEET JESUS ON A WAFFLE CONE!!! That girl is slowly infiltrating the Archie comic strip. Someone tell the Archie Joke Generating Unit that she must be stopped. Heaven forbid if she actually makes the strip funny!!

I like it.

There's nothing funnier than Zoe falling off the roof and landing flat on her head thus shattering her second, third and fourth vertebrae. Hammie would like it.

Does poor Lois go through Trixie crying every time they go through the express lane? Hi should've gotten the operation after the accidents that were Dot and Ditto.

That's right. The drugs didn't kill Alan. Ray Jenkins didn't kill Alan. You killed him, LuAnn. You killed him with affection and encouragement.

Marmaduke suffers from a phony addiction that's really more of a fetish.

Now we shall make love and afterwards you will stroke my chin beard. My awesome chin beard.

HA HA HA!!! She's old and gonna die soon.

Meanwhile, Jeffy has been hypnotized by the Number 7. The numeral who ate his cohort 9 is now wanting Jeffy to kill. Kill. KILL!

He couldn't do any worse than the real people running the banks.

HOLY MOTHER OF PHYLLIS DILLER!! What's wrong with Gladys' eye? I know the art in BL is never all that great but her eye is on her cheek.

Also, the romance of yesterday's strip has vanished.

On her cheek.

"Brutus? Who's the Girl, Brutus?"

Yesterday, we had "fencing". Today we have "home economics" and "baby doll". If we continue "quoting" tomorrow, I say "we" should use "finger quotes" in every "panel."

You two do realize what other things you could hear from the women's bathroom right? Plus I've seen what happens to people who bug restrooms. I've seen those Datelines and 20/20s.

It took me awhile to notice that the strip says Van Diesel and not Vin Diesel. This strip actually brings up some interesting things. Is it intentionally Van or did Armstrong forget Vin's name. Did he change it to Van so he could make that vehicle/fuel joke or did he fear repurcustions from Mr. Diesel himself?

I don't care how long it's been, I'm always up for a Peanuts parody.

Well, it's better because not only do I get sex at home, I get it at work now. And with none of that marriage crap attached to it.

No, I don't want a ride. I don't think I could fit in your car anyway...

I always figured Brutus' mom was dead. Hopefully we don't have a Norman Bates situation here.

12:20 PM Dow Jones: -529.41 9795.97

More editorial cartoons as our economy collapses around us. I'm not much of a stock market person but all this falling stock is scaring me. Well, onto the comics.

Sadly, the painting's value will be depreciated because of the tape marks on the corners.

I don't think Veeblefester would be smiling if he knew how much the Dow dropped today.
