People In Power Suck

Nice. Our military tax dollars at work.

And you know that if you have to explain the joke, it's not funny. Unfortunately Drabble thinks it is.
I hate Drabble so much.

Born Loser 02-03-09
I hurt my back last night. Walking. Apparently even the simpleist of tasks are dangerous to so-called "born losers".

Also, I was reading my local paper and there is an article about all the stuff from the budget that has to be cut (the nature center, a swimming pool, crossing guards, etc...) and our city manager suggested city employees not get raises this year. City commissioners rejected that idea. Jerk-offs. Okay, fine, give yourself your yearly 5% raise and get rid of the crossing guards and when the first kid is hit by a car, I hope the parents sue.

Wilberforce Gets an "F"

You'd think the guys would learn not to make fun of the Fat Broad. The snake, unfortunately, is just the victim of a hate crime.

Heathcliff has had a series of strokes in today's strip and soon Mr. Nutmeg has one which causes him to force his wife to bathe him and his cat in the backyard blaming their troubles on sand fleas.

Also, Dawn Warren has the most unique cat ever. A cat that hides and pounces on you? Someone give that cat a series.

At least he wants to go somewhere. I've seen comic strip husbands say they don't want to go anywhere and it's their way of saving money. At least Drabble here wants to go somewhere with his horrid shrew of a wife.

Sweaty pits or not, they'd still date her.

Ok. I will.
Yep, son. I got a pig when I married your mom. Unfortunately we can't kill and eat her because that would be murder and cannibalism.

No HD for the Thornapples

Make sure you've taken your LSD or ecstasy before reading the first comic today. When I first saw it I thought my house had a carbon monoxide leak or something.

I warned you. Leave it to The Better Half to make you question your sanity.

That is the most disturbing porno magazines ever. And I've seen some pretty disturbing magazines.

I wish I could change my radio stations...WITH MY MIND as she can apparently do. Her arms don't move. They are permanently attached to her torso.

ACK!! All those clothes make Cathy's hips look huge. She is almost as wide as the door she's walking out of.

Leroy has been turned into a Sim for the new Sim game which proves EA is running out of ideas as they are reduced to using past-their-prime comic strips as characters.

It's reasons like this as to why I don't like running a dishwasher. I'm always afraid it will blow up or flood the house. I know I'm just paranoid but it could happen.

Another sign that Aaron MacGruder is becoming the laziest cartoonist ever. I guess as long as the "Boondocks" TV series doesn't suffer I shouldn't complain.

Of course they watch Fox News. It's Fair and Balanced reporting is only second to the outstanding anchors they have such as Shepherd Smith, Bill O'Reilly and Greta Van Susteren.

Oop, I threw up a little.

Ruff's not Snoopy smart. Hell, he's not even Marmaduke smart.

I can't tell the difference between standard and high-def. High-def has sharper color but other than that I'll stick with my standard television. It does just fine, thank you. Who are you to judge me?!

Microwave 2 to 3 Minutes

I've noticed that Marmaduke has better artwork and is featuring two names at the bottom (Paul and Brad Anderson) so yet another father-son "legacy strip" has come into fruition. May God have mercy on us all.

Yeah. Bird-anal sex is pretty frightening.

Why is Drabble yelling like that in panel two? In most cities, driving while talking on a cell phone is still legal and people do regardless. I'm done with Drabble. Please leave now.

Letters to the editor are horrible. In my opinion, if people actually take time to write a letter to a newspaper editor, they obviously have no life and spend all their time complaining about everything humans do no matter how insignificant.

I'll heat up my own frozen dinner, thank you. I don't need my wife around to operate the microwave. I can be a self-sufficent man if I want to be.

Born Loser Title #183

Ok. I'm tired of this mall cop storyline in Drabble. Do mall cops really use segway scooters? Wouldn't those get in the way of the people shopping? Someone please enlighten me because I've never seen a--let's be serious here, mall security guard--on a scooter.

Nothing of note in this comic except that I want the dog. He's so cute and seems like he would be easy to take care of.

What? Boobs? I love boobs!! Just get that shirt out of the way!!

See Luann? Jane's World has the right idea...

So Wilberforce inherited Gladys' thyroid problem. How old is Wilberforce anyway? 8? 9?

Chip's Blowing My Mind

I hate these "show me" strips. They are never funny and this one made me think too much which means it's trying too hard.

Aww. I know Pig is being insulted but seeing that smile on his face warms the cockles of my heart.

Great. So when he brakes really hard, he'll flip forward and smash his face onto the floor.

Doesn't the third kid from Luann (I assume it's a girl) look like TJ? Does TJ have an illegitimate child? That would be a pretty good storyline I think plus seeing TJ as a loving, caring, inspiration parent would be fairly strange.

I mean, look at her!! She even has the perverted grin of TJ!!

Momma has some serious empty nest syndrome. Her kids need to start having some grandchildren pronto.

And a hello to my lovely fiancee who, if she was put on this Earth to make me happy, is doing a damn good job.

I see Brutus is a hunt-and-pecker at the computer. That I don't care about but I want to give a huge seal of approval to Chip for giving Brutus a flat screen monitor. So at least the Veeblefester Corporation is in the 21st Century.

Hey! I'm Gonna Be an English Major!

In today's strip Wilberforce is enlightening us with some commentary about some guy named Rick Goetchius who is home from college for a couple weeks. Not having met this Rick Goetchius, it makes me wonder why the reader should care about him but then we uneasily segue into why people go to college and what Brutus' major is. Brutus is an English major--he went to college but a 12-year-old girl is still smarter than him. That's not a ringing endorsement for the college Brutus Thornapple went to. And sadly, since Brutus is a legacy that means Wilberforce will more than likely go to the same one. God help us all.

Also, I noticed on the website that if I enjoy TBL, which I don't, I'd also enjoy Andy Capp, Drabble and Red & Rover but unfortunately I did not. The website lied to me. Just like everyone else.
