What Are the Candidates Positions On the Garbage Ape?

FoxTrot
This strip isn't even out in time for the 20th Anniversary of Disney's Pocahontas, which was back in 2015. I wonder if this joke resonates with people now because I don't think it resonated with people back in 1995.

Marmaduke
If I had any type of Photoshop skills--or even a decent photo editing program, I would add two more panels showing Marmaduke dropping his neighbor and the police officer into the hole as well. Instead, I just have to imagine it.

Heathcliff
There are no humans in this conga line. None of these animals can be registered to vote! The animals are illegally voting and they're voting Democrat!! The rigging is real!!!

Seriously, though, if you haven't already, go vote on Tuesday.

1237: Welcome To Parenting, Brutus. I Hope You Know How.

This reminds me of a scene in I Love Lucy where the gang is heading to California and are in Ohio when they see a sign for Aunt Sally's Pecan Pralines. They pass signs all along the highway including pointless ones that read 1 mile, 500 feet, 100 feet and just around the bend. Fred notes that how does Aunt Sally have the time to make pecan pralines when she's busy making signs. They end up passing it and have to back up and discover that it was housed in an old shack and that it's out of business. "See, I told you she was spending to much time on those signs," Fred says.

In my Earth Space Science class this last year, we had a student teacher so we got really in depth with what makes a planet. We learned that under the classification of what a planet is, Pluto had to be dropped because it hadn't "cleared its neighborhood" meaning that Pluto wasn't the dominant gravity in its orbit. Pluto shares its orbit with the Kuiper Belt so Pluto had to be reclassified as a dwarf planet.

I don't think that's a good sign when your body starts falling asleep piece by piece. Jon should probably get Garfield to Liz to make sure he's okay.

"Yeah, that's great Mark but that grizzly has eaten our dog and is now trying to break down the sliding glass door in kitchen."

I'm not a Marvin fan. I find the constant poop jokes crass. But this comic is saying what I think and occasionally tweet--baseball is boring as f@$k.

Dropping pizzas? That's daring. Almost as daring as dropping turkeys from a plane on Thanksgiving.

Is Earl going to fly away with the car, stop the car or smash the car into a rock like the actual cover to Action Comics #1?

Has Curtis not been to a movie in the last 15 years? These days there are previews before the the previews.

"If only Dad said 'Dad's' instead of 'Dad is'," cried Wilberforce as he rested the frozen peas on his freshly blackened eye. "Why does Dad have such an irrational hatred for the apostrophe?"

Be More Stupid, Veeblefester

Welcome to the new Sunday installment of LAMNB featuring Sunday Comics. Next week I plan on having a new header made up just for Sunday but for now the regular LAMNB header will have to do. Enjoy some Sunday comics.

Barney Google and Snuffy Smith
I don't exactly know what Snuffy and Lukey are doing but anything that could cause Snuffy to plummet to his death is all right by me.

FoxTrot
Clearly this is a Steve Jobs tribute but as someone who has read FoxTrot since it's creation I remember when the Fox family got their iFruit and Jason didn't like it. And he never really grew to like it, he had to use it because it was the only computer in the house. He felt the iFruit (and really the iMac) marketed itself to idiots who didn't really know what they wanted in a computer. Maybe Jason is more mourning the loss of Steve Jobs and his ability to convince people they need crap they really don't need.

The Born Loser
I'm going to assume that Brutus is fearing for his job and doesn't really think being "too intelligent" is Veeblefester's only flaw.

Happy Anniversary, Veeblefesters

That kind of sounds like me. I was born with milky white legs and I will die with milky white legs. I haven't worn shorts in roughly 10 years. Minus a summer I tried to impress this girl but that doesn't count.

Wasn't there a Calvin and Hobbes strip that showed Calvin and Hobbes in the same way as the two old men? *Sigh* I miss Calvin and Hobbes.

I don't miss Mutt and Jeff. Although in their defense, I did kind of chuckle at this strip.

I don't know about you but I love amorphus blobs. Next to "crushed by 1,000 foot grasshopper", "eaten by amorphus blob" is 2nd on my Sci-Fi Movie List of Ways To Die.

Well, it's good to know that Chip's cut-and-paste feature works on his computer.

I Miss FoxTrot

When FoxTrot stopped doing dailies, I was sad but rejoiced when I learned that they would still have Sundays. Then my local paper dropped the Sundays and replaced them with Pearls Before Swine. I think it cancels it out so I'm not too upset.

Can someone really text faster than they can talk. Maybe with a Blackberry or something...

Poor Satchel. But you'd think by now he would learn to not listen to Bucky.

This reminds me of when my best friend went down to Mexico to spend a couple weeks. I'm shocked he came back alive and un-raped. Pig, however, I don't think will be as lucky.

Brutus is the only one who cares about Veeblefester's birthday. I've never cared about my bosses birthdays and sure as hell don't want to sing to them or give them a cake. But I'm glad Veeblefester's sacks of money are back.
