Brutus and Gladys are fighting again. You know, when the Lockhorns fight, that's funny because they are abusive, manipulative, and just plain awful to each other. Brutus and Gladys are just posturing.

Tauy Creek fans--all 3 of you (and even that may be pushing it)--know that I am just bothered by Brutus dining at fancy restaurants by himself. It's weird, right? I don't know.

I'm reading this as Brutus is going to drink an entire bottle of wine by himself. That's the correct way to read today's strip, right?

Seriously though. It's Monday and even if this comic was on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, it still wouldn't be a fun day because Brutus is a born loser and he'll still have something else to do other than fun.

Kewpie is very excited to get those slippers and bury them. Does Wilberforce unbury them each time or does Brutus have numerous pairs of slippers?

"A fool and his money were lucky to get together in the first place." What do you think brought this on? Did Uncle Ted invest his money in a shady online company? Is Uncle Ted planning a trip to Vegas or Atlantic City? Does Uncle Ted have a new 25-year-old girlfriend? Are the emails from random African countries asking for Uncle Ted's routing and account number becoming too frequent? Maybe we're starting to get the reason Uncle Ted hangs out at Brutus' home so much.

Oh my God, does Gladys just stand at the door and wait for her family to come home? Look, I understand that being a mom is hard but Gladys definitely doesn't make it look hard.

Wait. It's December. Where's Wilberforce finding roses? Maybe that's why he was late because he walked to a flower shop or greenhouse just to follow up on a dumb saying his mom said when he woke up. Hmph. Idiot.

Glad the Elevator Is There To Hammer Home the Point

Brutus is at least moving up even if it is just inside the building. You would think that as a born loser, Brutus would be moved down. Like, all the way down into the sub-basement.

The Dart of the Matter

What makes this comic funnier to me is that I'm 99% sure that Mother Gargle is in the house because she just arrived Monday. Is Brutus really good at darts because he is the born loser so I doubt that picture of Mother Gargle will be getting any dart holes in it.
