100th Birthday

It's Lucille Ball's 100th birthday today and I really don't have anything planned for it. Several months ago I posted a "Thursday Comics" featuring some Lucy comics so feel free to check those out. There is a new post over at the DCR with a couple comics and a LAMNB post should be up later today.

Balloons Can't Scream 'No'

There is a new post up over at the DCR that you need to read. The fate of the world rests on it. It also mentions my vacation that I am going on in a couple of weeks. I will be updating my blog with Chicago-related musings and such along with the standard LAMNB comics. There are also a few posts that have been ready to post for the last month. So while I will be out of the state, I will still be posting here. And then I will probably take another week off when I get back and not post anything.

That paragraph is really rambling....

Why does Gladys' forgiveness mean so much to Brutus? My thoughts are either his "big heart" comment is literal and Gladys is only one heartbeat away from heart failure or Gladys hits Brutus. You don't have to take that Brutus. There are places you can go that will protect you from her.

The 'B' Grandparents Are Here

There's a Sunday post up at the lonely, lonely DCR.  There's only three comics but none were really that great. I'm just wondering if I should continue to post on Sunday if no one else posts during the week. We'll see what next week has to offer.

Old Comic Randomness

There are a bunch of old comics posted over at the DCR. Enjoy some Krazy Kat, Katzenjammer Kids, Buster Brown and many more. Also, enjoy today's Born Loser strip.

I call B.S. on this. Kids should still know what CDs are because you still see them at stores and parents should still have CDs even if they don't listen to them. Yes, maybe in few years when everyone is required by law to own some sort of music listening device then maybe we will see the end of CDs but until then, they are here to stay.

Also, the peach crate is a wonderful addition to the strip.

Sundays at the DCR

There's no post over at The DCR this week. There may not be a post over at the DCR for quite some time. In case you haven't read, Jim Davis (or Paws, Inc.) ordered Photobucket to remove a few Garfield strips. I am assuming the Paws, Inc. Image Robot noticed those strips, sent a message to Photobucket who then saw all of the other comic strips on there and just decided to cancel the account. Even if Photobucket were to reinstate the account, all the comics posted from the last four years are gone. We're currently working on a solution and hopefully will be able to come back and be better than before. But, as promised, here is one last comics review.

The Knight Life

Amen. I get so tired of people complaining about the post office and the high price of stamps. What else can you buy for $0.44?

B.C.
B.C. 04-24-11
Much like Jesus, Johnny Hart has risen from the dead to do an Easter strip of his popular comic strip.

Girls & Sports
Girls & Sports 04-24-11
Hmm. So how come he can't just answer the phone or take it out and look at how's calling and press ignore? Because he's an idiot in a strip created by idiots? Oh, okay.

Maybe Daddy's Home will ease the suffering...
Daddy's Home 04-24-11
Sweet Holy Hell! There...is...no...God...

The Born Loser

Hah! Gladys is fat and fat people can't control their eating. It's funny because it's a stereotype.

Have a great Sunday everybody. Hopefully the DCR will be back soon and we can get back to making fun of bad comics and bringing attention to good comics.
