Why are we still talking about Halloween?  This strip looks like it should've been printed either October 29th or October 30th.

Is the reason Cleaver is "the whitest name" you've ever heard because of it's association with the Cleavers from TV's "Leave It to Beaver"?  What about former Kansas City, Missouri mayor and current Missouri Representative Emanual Cleaver?

Oh my God! This is quite possibly the best comic strip in the papers. God bless United Features Syndicate for picking up this strip and giving it a chance.

Never give a homeless man/hobo/bum money because they may not spend it on something they need. Just buy them a sandwich from a nearby Jimmy Johns or something. Or a massive burrito from Chipotle.

I can't believe in a strip as decent as Over the Hedge they are still able to do a golf joke. What the hell?

The Noose Tightens

I've only ever had one dream--it was an elaborate dream but it was a dream. I wanted to be a known author--not rich or famous but known. I also wanted to be married to a wonderful woman who would love me forever. Also, three kids--two girls, one boy--and two cats. Maybe a dog if we lived on a farm.

I love Secret Asian Man and his huge eyebrows. They should compromise and get one of those big packs of Tic Tacs. And what is the obsession with using Tic Tacs as more than just breath mints?


Is Gladys reading that little fact in the newspaper? That seems like an odd article to have in a newspaper. Maybe she's reading USA Today with all it's cool color charts.

I've Never Seen a Doctor Wear a Head Mirror

When I went to Comics.com to get today's BL I noticed that today's feature was a comic strip called Secret Asian Man. I had originally thought it would be mild racist fun but instead I find some weird Japanese drawn apparently superhero comic strip. The premise has intrigued me so I'm going to see how the strip progresses. I mean, honestly, the Naruto reference is stretching the boundaries of comic strip age-limits.

And onto today's strip. Gladys is apparently feeling a little tingle in her left arm and has gone to the doctor. She states that vegetables are a part of her regular diet--vegetable oil that is!! But this isn't a laughing matter Gladys. The size and shape of your body indicates you only have a few more years on this good planet so I suggest you start eating healthier and exercising. Hop to it!!
