The monument for David H. Hall, who was a private in the 4th Regiment of the Michigan Cavalry during the Civil War. The 4th Regiment mustered in August of 1862 and was in several battles, notably the Battle of Chickamauga from September 19-21, 1863. The men mustered out July 1, 1865.

David Hall was born in Ganges, Michigan and died in Horatio, Arkansas. Hall's grave consists of a veteran's stone and a large monument featuring a copper sundial and signs of the zodiac carved into the side.
