I’ve started noticing on various sites that people are downright attacking any article, post, comment or talking point that leans in the direction of Republican. Typically these attacks are well thought out and provide sources about how the Republican is wrong. Instead of just either backing off and leaving it or actually admitting fault, the Republican responds with a comment detailing how “you liberals” are attacking him and making him feel stupid. They aren’t attacking you because you’re stupid, they are attacking because you are wrong. There is a difference. And if you feel you are right, then back it up. But they never do, they all respond with “if it’s that important to you, you can look it up yourself.”
Uh-huh.
My father-in-law posted this link on his Facebook page that deals with how to handle posting statuses about someone in your family dying. His brother’s daughter’s husband (nephew-in-law?) then went on a diatribe about President Obama’s policies and how much of a Socialist traitor Obama is.
I don’t know. Seems like a legitimate reaction and not at all an overreaction to me.
