Superman #18
“What I Think About When I Flush a Spider Down the Drain”
I wrote and drew this (using MS Paint) a little over a year ago and posted it on Watch This Space. I also submitted it to Reddit where it did okay but nothing to write home about.

Superman: The Man of Steel #18 by Jon Bogdanove & Dennis Janke
At its peak, DC Comics was publishing five Superman titles (1995-1999). Action Comics, Adventures of Superman, Superman, Superman: The Man of Steel (began 1991) and Superman: The Man of Tomorrow (began 1995). Of those five, The Man of Steel had to be my least favorite title. Written by Louise Simonson with art by Jon Bogdanove and Dennis Janke, while the writing was good, it was the art that really turned me off to the title.
As the title wore on, Bogdanove’s art became more cartoony and he even began doing some writing. Simonson and Bogdanove would be replaced by Mark Schultz and Tom Nguyen and the stories began having a science fiction element to them.
The first entry from MOS is from #16 in 1992 with art by Jon Bogdanove and Dennis Janke.
