Tim Huelskamp is a Republican congressman representing the 1st District of Kansas. Sometimes he tweets stupid stuff on Twitter like this gem where he shows his intolerance for others beliefs.
Ethical culture is premised on the idea that honoring and living in accordance with ethical principles is central to what it takes to live meaningful and fulfilling lives, and to creating a world that is good for all. That sounds terrible. Who wants to live in a world that is good for all when we’ve been doing just fine living in a world that is good for privileged, white, Christian men?

GOP Rep. Steve King calls out “illegal aliens” who just “invaded” his D.C. office.

Quite the invasion.

Damn high school graduates. Think they’re so hot since they graduated high school and are the future of our country.

Seriously, What's The Matter With Kansas?

Gun nuts, anti-abortion zealots and free-market cultists are leading the state to the brink of disaster

This is an accurate portrayal of what is going on in Kansas. Brownback ran for governor and is now running the place like how Republicans thought Obama was going to run the country. It’s quite ironic when you think about it. The only difference is that Brownback has an R behind his name.

And to the idiot commenters who post saying “this was the will of the people of Kansas,” you clearly don’t live here. The moderates were outspent and outnumbered despite some of them faithfully serving their state for decades and being well-liked by their constituents. Attempts were made to gerrymander the political boundaries so the more liberal areas of eastern Topeka, Kansas City, Lawrence and Wichita would have less of a vote. And it was made very clear that a vote for anyone other than a Brownback/Koch endorsed candidate was a vote for Satan and Hitler.

Maybe instead of trying to repeal Obamacare for the umpteenth time, why don’t you repeal the Patriot Act and replace it with something that doesn’t spy on or make criminals of all American citizens?

Tim Huelskamp is a Republican congressman representing the 1st District of Kansas. Sometimes he tweets stupid stuff on Twitter like this gem where he reveals that someone in the military was told not to read the works of someone he believes in. No, not Jesus or God. David Limbaugh and Mark Levin.
According to Army documents, Master Sgt. Sommers’ anti-Obama attitude was growing a bit too much and he was told his actions were crossing the line into being disrespectful. President Obama, whether you like him or not, is your Commander-in-Chief. And he was elected Commander-in-Chief by a wide margin. From what I hear, when you are in the military, you don’t have to like your commanding officers but you do have to respect them. I feel there are a lot more to this story that we are not getting. But just based on the article, I’m thinking his hatred of Obama started bothering people he was working with and interfering with his job.
What Master Sgt. Sommers should do is just what anti-Bush people did for eight years. Hate the man but respect the damn office. He’s still your president.

Tim Huelskamp is a Republican congressman representing the 1st District of Kansas. Sometimes he tweets stupid stuff on Twitter like this gem where he once again just complains about something but offers no solution nor show any interest in actually solving the problem. This has been the leitmotif of the Republican Party over the last few months, especially with the more conservative Tea Party candidates. They’ll complain about everything but offer no solutions to fixing the problem. Most people on food stamps are the working poor, ones who have jobs but those jobs don’t pay enough. Solution? Force businesses to pay more by raising the minimum wage to something a bit more livable, that’s what you can do Congressman Huelskamp. As for creating more/better jobs, that is more suited to your state and and local government—NOT Congress and the President as so many would like you believe.

From PoliticsNation:
Michelle Bachmann’s congressional report card doesn’t have too many legislative accomplishments so far.
Do you think she’ll rack up anything more before she departs next year?

Sounds to me she was pretty much a failure while in Congress. Maybe if she had been in for longer than 8 years it would be more impressive but I guess we’ll never know…

Tim Huelskamp is a Republican congressman representing the 1st District of Kansas. Sometimes he tweets stupid stuff on Twitter like this gem where he genuinely shows how much of a bigoted moron he is. I think what really irks me is that when an organization, company or politician does something that’s skewed to the left, it’s a sad day for America. Why is it ALWAYS a “sad day for America” when something more liberal happens but when Republicans take away food stamps from starving children, slash education financing for our children and teens, start wars under false pretenses and raise taxes on the middle and lower class in order to lower taxes for rich people, that’s all perfectly fine. That’s a good day for America. That’s what God wants?
I try to keep in perspective where Huelskamp is coming from. He’s from an uber-conservative district in western Kansas voted in by people who care more about stopping abortions than making sure a child gets food or an education. Why don’t you go back to whining about Benghazi or the IRS, Huelskamp and stay away from talking points that make you look like an uneducated moron?
You can view the original tweet (and the lovely responses agreeing with Huelskamp) here.

What’s more childish, petty and stupid than Republicans and Democrats not getting along and compromising? Republicans fighting amongst themselves trying to fix a budget problem they themselves created.

Here’s How Much It Costs To Block A Bill That 91% Of Americans Support

There’s nothing a little (or huge) campaign donation can’t make you forget about, right? Even that pesky thing called American safety.

Pfft. What pisses me off is how cheap my senators were. Pat Roberts was $30,800 and Jerry Moran a measly $16,221. But at least they’re no Tim Scott from South Carolina. $2,000, really?

Dick Cheney: Benghazi is “one of the worst incidences I can recall in my career”

think-progress:

C’mon Cheney. Think really hard.

Oh, yeah, I keep forgetting that 9/11 happened on Bill Clinton’s watch.

Wait a minute…November 7, 2000 was the election…Bush took office on January 20, 2001. *GASP* 9/11 happened on Bush and Cheney’s watch? Then how come NO ONE EVER POINTS THAT OUT TO THEM OR THE OTHER REPUBLICANS!?!?!?!?!
