I’m going to be honest here. While I tend to lean to the liberal side of the political spectrum, I do tend to vote for the man. I vote for the person who I feel will do a better job. Until John McCain announced Sarah Palin as his running mate, he and Obama were neck and neck in my eyes.
So far, I have not heard a single reason why I should vote for Mitt Romney. McCain had all this other stuff going for him: more experienced, military knowledge, decent man and other stuff but Palin ruined him for me. Choosing her was a huge mistake in my eyes because everything that he was, she was the direct opposite.
I’ve listened/read Romney’s speeches, I read articles from both sides of spectrum about both Obama and Romney but, again, I haven’t heard of a single reason why I should vote for him. His solutions to taxes, the deficit, health care and just about everything else are just the opposite of what Obama is saying but the solutions offer no proof they will work nor do they actually seem fully formed.
Granted, I didn’t lose faith in McCain until September when his VP was announced but Romney lost me back in 2011 and he has a lot of catching up to before I would even consider darkening the oval his name is next to on my ballot and the contenders for Romney’s VP aren’t really helping him any.
So all Mitt Romney has to do to win my vote is pick a decidely moderate VP and convince me with facts and proof that his ideas for the country are better than Obama’s and that he is a more decent man than the current President.
And…go.
